I decided to give the cats n bass a day off today and do me some shooting!
Awesome Job!! Great to see another bowfisherman out sticking some pigs!! Rep points were given for the great round of shooting.
Nice Shooting. Bow fishing looks like a riot to me.
Whisker, that looks like an old black bear bow. Is it?
It is a Martin Lynxs .:006:
Now thats a nice days work,
I dont dig that as I think fish are for catching not shooting
Do you shoot cats and bass too?
good job! I haven't been out this year.
I didn't know those fish were good to eat. How do you cook them ? Are there many bones ?
It is a great deal of fun, and a way to manage fish that are not really fished for that much. Anyone that bow hunts should give it a try, when they are up on top it is a BLAST!!!
the sweetest thing iv seen is when they shoot asian carp out of the air when the jump
nice shoot brother !
I never kill a fish unless I am goin to eat it or usin it for bait, and If I'm feeding a pelican.Unless the ecosystem was desperate for less carp because of over population, you shouldn't kill those carp.:sad2:
You think people just shoot them for sport??????
We shoot em around here for the sport AND for the fact that there are WAY TOO MANY of the stinking things in our fisheries. Tournament archery shoots are popular out here. This pic is from the Calumus, Ne. shoot a couple weeks ago. I didn't make it to the tourney,... but the winning two man team brought in over 500 lbs.,..the total weighed in was over 9000 lbs. They hardly put a dent in 'em!!!
Now that looks like a lot of fun and some good grub!
:ah: The snapping turtles eat them and so do birds. Its not like they are going to waste. Besides there are so many of them and hardly no fishing presser. They need to be cleaned out some how.
smoke them with hickory wood
Carp aren't native to our waters and in many places they are taking over and hurting native fish populations. Good shooting.
