Carp Minnows

    can anyone tell me what kind of trap seems to work the best for trapping carp minnows?

    Throw net or sein depending on where they are. When I fish on the river, I like to throw a net into a slough. Will catch an aray of carp, buffalo, and sucker minnows...along with shad and perch. Takes about 10 minutes to get a cooler full of bait.

    Its the fastest way. Just make shure if ya get any lil bigheads whackem in the head and toss on ice as they cant be used live. Any back water ditch or inflow even in behind trail dikes when the water is down. A lil castnet work and ya got more bait than ya need. Got 2dozen sucker minnows 4 to 8 inch long outside right now 15 min @ a local creek. Was out feeden the gar tonight.:wink:
