Carp in kansas

    any carp fishermen in kansas? would like to know if anybody has had any luck.

    Well after yesterday I just might start to do a little carp fishing. I seen some huge carp. I was planing to give them a try today but now its getting cold.

    I do some bowfishing for carp and gar at the low water dam on the Neosho river at Chetopa, KS.

    There's plenty of action during the spawn....and the eggs are fantastic catfish bait as long as they haven't moved out of the egg sacks yet.

    I also manage to snag plenty of both during the april whitebass run also.

    I do see a few guys using doughbait for carp...using long slender rods there at the dam. They seem to stay pretty busy at times.
