i have used them in a mesh bag and never caught anything. every carp i catch is full is full of eggs it seems so i figured it was worth a shot.

No but I've used catfish eggs as carp bait. My folks owned a Marina on our lake ,back in the 70s ,I used to clean folks fish for a small fee and the eggs I used for bait [under the cleaning station] to catch carp . Which I dressed and sold as cut bait . Pretty ingenious for a 13 yr old I guess.

Never carp eggs But similar to 223 reload we sometimes save the egg sacks from crappie cleaning and float them around the fish cleaning stations at a lake and catch nice catfish.
