I've never used carp as bait but I slay a bunch of them. What size is best for bait and how do you use them?

Small ones up to a pound are good flathead bait. You can also use them as cut bait. They work pretty good.

10" and under for livebait, anything above that will be good for cutbait. something i have been doing lately is cutting a strip from top of the fillet to the bottom, then cutting out the middle of the fillet, but leaving the skin on to expose the red meat. i have tried this side by side with 'unadulterated' strips and the 'adulterated' strips have produced better. might work in your area too.

I like anything over 15 pounds for bait.. I use it cut though.
