I'm planning on trying out Carp and Gar as bait. Has anyone tried this? Does it work good?
I'm going to try small and maybe even medium sized live Carp, both as cut bait, and maybe even some Carp/Gar chum.

i used cut gar before. not a bite on it. I would have thought it would work but it didn't for me. I had 4 pole out 2 with brim and 2 with gar. Pulled in 3 fish with the brim and then threw away the gar bait

Back home in the mid west some budys of mine took the carp or buffalos and cut them up into bait sized chuncks and salted it down . They claimed it worked great for cats . I never personally have used it before . Good luck and tell us what the outcome is .
