I have a 2006 alumacraft jon set up with stick steering and a 25 tohatsu with t&t . I have a guy offer ing a a j-14 that looks new . For fishing small river in georgia and maybe a trip to lake walter f george . what would you guy recommend. I like the alumacraft other than the bench seats. Would the carolina skiff cut down on my speed or be too heavy to manuever around sandbars.
thanks
After owning fiberglass and aluminum ..... for river fishing it's aluminum all the way. It's tougher, lighter, and I feel more safe beaching an aluminum boat than I did the glass boat. Every year I was touching up some area of the glass boat from damage due to the river bottom or beaching on an island.
