Carb question

    I have a 1999 mercury sport jet 120 h.p. 2 stroke 4 cyl. I just uncovered it tried to start it,fired one time will not start, and fuel is coming out of the carbs.What is the cause and what is the solution? rebuild the carb? I aslo installed new plugs.

    Float is stuck, Time to tear it down and rebuild the carbs. Be sure to saok them and follow the instructions in the tutorial at the top of this page.

    Thanks bubba thats what I figured. where is a good place to order parts? I have been all over the internet and haven't found anything.

    O'Reiley's, Napa, Auto Zone, Enduranc. All these stores, and probably your local auto parts store has marine manuals and can order the parts, generally cheaper than a marine store, and same day or next day service.

    Auto zone or napa would have a mercury carb rebuild kit? I thought they would just sell auto parts. I'll check into it. Thanks
