Anyone know where's a good place to find some cats in the Chatham County section of the Cape Fear? I'm talking about the area near the Lake Jordan dam and down to McKay Island. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I've fished that area a few times. I caught some nice ones where the Cape Fear and Haw River meet. If you go up toward the dam there are a few good spots up there.
Good luck and let us know how you do.

i fish this area almost once every weekend and there are plenty of
fish, depends what you are fishing for as far as where to fish. My best
advice is go up the Haw river, about 200 yards from where the riprap

ends you will see houses, fish in that general area and look for dropoffs.
Always catch channels and small blues, just a good spot if you just want
    to catch fish
