Last night was an incredible night for the Fayetteville stretch of the Cape Fear! I took out my 4yr old nephew, and brother & father-inlaws and fished from 7pm till 1am and caught 12 blues all on eel from my honeyhole. Caught 3 that ranged from 3lbs to 5lbs, 4 in the 10lb range, 3 between 15lb and 20lb, and 2 between 20lb and 25lb range. Every half hour the poles were going. River was running at 11.03 ft, water was clear, and water temp was 73. All fish as always were released. My nephew had a blast as it was his first time out on the boat in river. Broke last years record number of 10 fish in one night. Hopefully the bite will stay like that till they spawn. Here are a few pics from last night.
