Went out today with my friends Britton and Marshal. Our goal was to get some catfish slime in Britton's brand new Sea Hunt(the thing is tricked out:crazy:). We started out catching some eels as usual and headed up river. First spot I hooked a decent fish, it was pulling drag and putting up a good fight and when it was under the boat it started rolling and popped the hook. Next spot Britton gets a fish on a chunk of shad that ended up going 16lbs, one of his biggest blues. Next spot we hit Marshal gets his first blue that ended up going 6lbs. Fished two more of our usual spots and lost two more fish. With his new found fuel range (55gal) we were able to go farther up river than normal and fished some new spots but only found small fish to peck at the baits. The tide crapped out and we headed down river to my favorite incoming tide spot and I got a 20lber on an eel head. Fished one other spot and then went home. All in all it was a good day except for the wind at times. We got Britton's boat initiated which is what really counts.

lol...it's all good. It wasn't bad luck, just a bad day. You need to see that place during the good time. The problem out there is that this time of the year the fish are in one GIANT school..but...if you cast off two feet off the school...no fish....put it on the school and you've got a fish every cast.
