Has anyone been to Cannelton since the water has finally came down? Was thinking about hooking up the boat and coming up there this weekend. Can anyone tell me if the water is real muddy? Has anyone been catching skipjack and are the blues biting? Thanks for any information.

Water is down but a little muddy still, fish are hot one day cold the next, skippes at Newburgh are few and far between not sure about Cannelton but I'd say it would be worth the trip. Caught over 200lbs all blues Tuesday in 3hrs in Owensboro, not far from down river from Cannelton.Good luck hope this helps.

I was there last Sunday and it was still up some and muddy, the bite was on. I caught some skips in the creek. We ended up with 3 largemouths, 6 white bass, 1 5 pound drum and 3 1/2 pound flathead. All in all not a bad day! this weekend should be o.k with the water dropping below 20ft..should be about 12 ft by monday.
