canned catfood, for bait?

    has anyone ever tried canned catfood mixxed with flour for a dough bait,i tried it today but i didn't get any bites on anything (livers, worms ,stinkbait or doughbait) let me know what ya'll think....john

    I use canned catfood in my crawdad traps and it sure works well, but haven't mixed any up to use for catfish bait. Channels will eat just about anything, so if you keep trying you might come up with something.

    I have used can dog food as chum in my Christmas trees when I sank them as crappie beds. I have caught a few cats from the trees also. :D

    It fought for quite a while, liked to tore my net up too.
    I hear the can be caught on gold fish also! :p

    LMAO, Troy, that is funny. That is close to the picture that pops into my mind every time I hear anything or post anything about using catfood on here for bait. That is a nice cat. Good coloring, I hope you didn't release that one as it sure looks like a good eater. Hard to fillet though, lol.

    Troy I think you, have been huffing the shad bucket, again, Have to amit, Its got color.
    Had a new shad tank, waiting for me when , I got home, and they said that the coyote caused the wreck woman struck it and lost control and ran into the other car both, lived. I believe.

    Havnt used canned catfood as bait but we use dry catfood for chum . It gets the cats all excited and you can see em blowing up on top and once they stop there freeding frenzy they are prowling for more food :cool:
