I removed part of the name to keep from making it so easy.
looks like either a small boat motor or an old school water/coffee dispenser.
the powerhead of an old sears and roebuck 1.5hp trolling motor.
Either that or youre staring down the front of a kitchen aid.
It is a do-dad from the what-ye-call-it, of the left hand widget. synchronized to run when you enter the room!!

I agree, looks like an old reel. However, it really looks like this old fly reel I got that automatically reels in the line (its old and stupid) you pull out the line (as fly fisherman do) which winds a spring, then instead of reeling the slack line in you just pull/push this little handle/button thing and the spring reels in the slack line.
Its a popcorn popper. LOL!
