Oklahoma, heck we even have regulations on the fishermen. LOL
Ohio, but more is needed
In Pa we have a 50 fish daily limit with no size restrictions. So more or less we have no regulations!
Effective July 1, 2008, North Carolina will have a size limit for Ark. Blues for two lakes in NC and they are Badin and Lake Norman. One 34" blue cat per day can be kept.
Kentucky has a few, depending on what method of fishing you use. Also some lakes have size and catch limits on channel catfish.
Alabama one over 34' per day
Ky has regulations on some waters but they differ . Some small central Ky lakes have a 12 in min. size limit and I beleive some have 3 fish daily creel limit you might go to kdfwr and see what you can find if that doesn't help let me know .
California has a five fish daily limit.
iowa has a 10 fish per day limit with a total possession limit of 20 fish per person.
texas- blue and channel cats minimum 12", 25 per day in the aggregate. some waters have 10 or 15 fish minimums on blues and channels, like texoma. flatheads 18" and 5 a day. some waters are 20" minimum on the flatties. hope this helps.
Most everyone I know CPR`s them anyway, If you eat them you will die from some type of chemicals in them. LOL!!!
the 34in rule hasnt become law in alabama yet has it?
thats like hunting regs in illinois. hope we dont see a total possession limit here. and when nuggetted up or steaked i dont see how they could tell. thats a wild law there.
Thats Excellent news!!!!
WV has a few
Bluecats 2 daily creel no possesion limit and a 24 inch minimum size limit.
Channel Cats 4 daily creel possesion 16 in state managed impoundments
Does not apply to Mt. Storm,
Stonecoal, Cheat, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lakesand all rivers and streams.
So basicly if you go to almost any lake or river there are no limits :confused2: on channels
Flatheads have no size or possesion Limits and arnt even listed on the page because WV has a uncanny ability to overlook the best parts of our great state until they have been destroyed.
Louisiana has regulations, if thats what cha wanna call them.....at best there a little weird, there is an 18 inch min on flatties though......don't matter to me anyhows..... they all eat good.................:cool2:
New Mexico: 15 fish per day total, either blues, channel,or flats. no size restrictions.
In special winter trout/summer catfish waters 2 per day no exceptions. [these cats are generally of thophy quality stocked by the Dept of fish and game, fron State hatcheries.
Like AwShucks said regs on fisherman. We got more on us than the fish. LOL.
massa_jorge bout covered it all for Texas.
We aint really got a shortage of catfish in Texas. maybe a shortage of old school fisherman/woman.That is due to cost. LOL. The main thing is not being able to eat more than 4 - 8 oz a month from many of our lakes and rivers. That is why I dont fish many other lakes and rivers. I like to bring home dinner now and then to offset cost. Still a couple places left that has no warnings on eating fish. Seems like to me, the cleaner the water, the better the fishing for eaters and trophies.
Catching and eating is part of it for me.
I tried to eat deer horns once. Never really understood how a dog can get full from a horn or bone. LMAO:smile2:
