I was asking questions recently about the laws for boundry waters. I was told you have to follow the laws of the state you are in. the states are seperated by the commercial main channel. it apparently gets a little sketchy around dams because the army core of engineers has moved some channels to accommodate the locks on the dams. its supposed to be marked with black or red buoys.
hey welcome aboard i know what you mean i travel all over the states between iowa minnesota and wisconsin but i make time for chasin cats, hey guys check out what the wife and kids got me for my birthday its in my album....had 6 nice pickups last night but i was to tired to even hear the clickers and a few channels, got my hands on some monster suckers....
Figured I would bump this to the top. Im from central wisconsin and fish the wisconsin river pretty hard. Have a few hot spots. Biggest ive caught was a 13lb channel.
I'm new to the board, from Wausau.. Have some big plans for catching cats this summer in the river, and lake Wausau.. Has anyone from the Wausau area fishes the du bay dam? Hear it's a good spot.. Possibility for some big ones.. Just what I've heard..
Any flatheads in lake Wausau? I've heard some say yes and others clam up when I mention flatheads to em.. Few guys said they "used" to catch them years back.. I don't think they up and left if they were in the lake.. I plan on finding me some..
Welcome Zach.
I'm sure Andy will chime in here soon. He lives in Mosinee and has fished the area more than I have.
Something to keep in mind for this summer. Several of us are planning to get together for a day of fishing. Either on my stomping grounds (Point-Nekoosa) or by Ikkie over on the Bago. If interested let me know and I'll be sure to contact you when something is planned.
Yeah keep me in mind for some fishing. I will be down mosinee/nekoosa area to catch a few. I have a good friend that fishes Winnebago religiously he lives in Oshkosh I believe and has a cottage on the lake. Last year had some pretty monster catches.. Biggest was 56lb.
