I have'nt used mine yet, and im wondrin if they work well for catfish over 20 lb?
I had on older King Kat Spinning Reel & it was junk. I hope that doesnt insult anyone & I am not one to say that something is junk, maybe I just got a bad one, but the handle was weak, seemed like there would be no power there @ all. I got mine along w/ a reg King Kat rod for lik4 $25 so the reel only cost $5, anything over that would have been too much. Maybe the new ones are much better.
I would agree with Mellon on this..I would trust a cheap shakespere spinning reel over those reels.
I have a friend that worked at cabelas untill just recently. He got a very healty discount on cabelas brand stuff. I have a lot of cabelas brand stuff for that reason and have been satified with all of it. The only cabelas brand thing that My friend ever steered me away from was the reels. He told me that they had probelums with most all of the cabelas brand reels that they sold.
thanks for the info guys
