I recently got a Cabelas King Kat Pro 9' MH rod to rig up for fishing in the Ohio River. Anyone out use them? Got an opinion? Did I get burned?

I have a 10 foot King Kat spinning rod (not the Pro) and while I wish it had a few more guides on it, it hasn't let me down yet. I have not tested it on any real large cats but it seems to be OK so far. I'm using it with a Shimano 4500B Baitrunner reel. :smile2:

I have one and I really like it but have not caught any big fish with it so I can't say how it will handle a big one.

but i think it would hold up as long as u didnt have any gouges in the rod blank or anything that would weaken it

but i like it, i can cast pretty far also

I LIKE MINE but i did coat the rod joint with duct tape to give it a little strength lmao like that would help:lol:
