where can u catch yellow bellyed bullheads in the state? ty lee
First of all what part of the state are you in?
Central and western part of the state are better suited for bullheads.Almost any slow moving body of water in Jackson,Roane,or North west side of Kanawha County will usually have bullheads. Most of our bullheads are Blacks.
Potomac River in the eastern panhandle is full of them. Please come take as many as you like.:smile2:
I caught a brown bullhead in the Blackwater River upriver from the dam in Davis. I considered this quite a surprise, since I didn't really expect to find bullheads in this stretch of trout river.
I usualy catch the in eather i mudy creek or a cove of a lake.
tu al l im from charleston where and what pond or river jerry ?
I used to catch some up Paint Creek havent tried in a long time.Should also be some up around the backside of Kellys Creek/Pond Gap.My best guess would be up the creek at Little Sandy or maybe Coopers Creek.
If your close to the WV Panhandle, Hit the Upper Potomac around the Hagerstown, md. area, dam's 4&5. Throw some shrimp out after dark and you will get all the mudcats(bullheads) you want. Please Please. :smile2: This section is over run with them. Need some flatheads in there to thin them out to be honest.
I've caught tons in the Ohio on night crawlers. Good Luck
