I've used frogs in the past for bait with good sucess but was wondering if anyone out there has used nice big fat bullfrog tadpoles? I tossed my perch trap into my pond came up with only 6 perch but 40 or so big fat tadpoles. Thinking a smaller hook through the mouth that wiggling tale would be the ticket.

I used them when I was a kid. Havent in a long time.
I remember them being a great bait for all 3 cats.

If there alive you could probably catch a good flat head on it but i would think you would catch more blues and channels then flats. But i could be totally wrong on this one cause ive never tried to fish with either.

anything swimming, even carp, will eat those things. right now we have a lot of mudholes drying up and they are chock full of those big old tadpoles. they don't seem to work as good as waterdogs though. i wish i could find waterdogs like i find tadpoles!

I have caught a lot of channel cats on them, but not yellow cats
