Hunting public land in Unit 8, 13-year-old James Livingston of Junction City shot this 25-point whitetail last Sunday during the youth deer season. His father, Jerry, accompanied him on the stalk which the boy engineered. The buck's net green score is 238 5/8 points and has a 28 1/2-inch spread. It's believed to be the largest Kansas whitetail killed by a child. Can you imagine the expectations this boy will have next year. 180 - 190 class he will pass on because he thinks a bigger one will come through.
