Any out there who fishes brookville lake, I fish it all the time and need some new fishing friends. numbers a plenty around here just have to work hard to catch any hogs

I was born and raised in that area,used to fish there all the time,where do
you live from there?there are tournaments every weekend put on by a bait
shop on the north end of the lake.these are all good people,and all entry
fees are paid out 100%.just let me know where you are,and i will have a
contact person to call ,and directions on the best way to go and where to
launch.

Cap I live in Brookville. The bait store that use to put on the local tournemant was gizmos. I am well known around there to make a little money. The place is under new ownership now, owned by my sponser. They no longer have a weekly tournemant, it kind of fizzled the last year. People get sick of donating there money, I THINK. They do still have a tournament acasionally though. They had one this year that we won and they are going to have one at the end of next month. The last one was a day tournament. The one next month will be a night tournament. I think we had big fish of 9.6# and total of 39# in 5 fish. Wasnt to bad considering it was about 90 degrees by 9 am. Always looking for new people to fish with. Most people call Brookville the dead sea but I think at least as far as numbers it is one of the best in the state. I admit though except in the spring it is very difficult to catch fish from the bank. As much as I fish 2 or 3 fishing buddies doesnt give me someone to fish with all the time.

GIZMO is my half brother he sold the bait shop to the new owners you
are talking about.GIZMOs real name is randy moorhead he now works
for the county,as cemetary care taker,he locates and restores and
repairs old grave markers.i call him gravedigger now.

i thought you may know me,we used to fish a lot of tournaments on that
lake.did pretty good most of the time,win some lose some you know how
that goes.when we hooked with catfish masters we had a good bunch of
fishermen in our chapter.when we traveled to their tournaments we kicked
some butt,and won a lot of $$$ from them.i dont know if you were around
at that time,if you were you will remember the wife and my self winning
the GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP at potoka lake in the worst storm i have ever
fished in.if i rembember right JASON and MIKE took 2nd place.if you were
not around ask those guys about it.we are living in florida now for about
3 years and we fish every chance we get.we are thinking of moveing back
that way in the spring,we have not yet had any hurricane damage but i
dont know how long we can be luckey.the wife is getting along pretty
good,but we sure do miss our hills lakes and rivers.we may move up by
barkley lake in kentucky,checking on that right now,we found a good deal
on a home thru a BOC member who lives their.now that you know who you
are talking to,WHO ARE YOU?i will leave you with what i used to tell every
one before a tournament started,I CAN BE BEAT,BUT I AINT EASY.

This is Shane Lewis, I fished a couple a against you, I fished with brian jennings, for a about three years. Brian and I dont fish together anymore. When the tournement Started to fizzle I talked jason in to fishing US CATS with me wich he is now doing. We fished a couple together last year and then where going to fish them all together this year. UNTIL my wife turned up pregnant in FEBUARY. So I had Jason find a new partner because my wife had problems whith each of our fisrt two kids. now here she is about 7 months along and all is well. We fished 2 Catfish Masters tournemants at brookville this year and won both of those, those guys really struggled both tour. down here, u know how tough it can be at times. They are talking about not comeing back to fish it next year. Jason has told me about the championship in the storm. I think a ton of Gizzo, just dont get to see them much anymore. I took him to try to find a grave here a few months ago. And it started pooring down rain, and that bank had washed out abou 60 feet, where I that the grave wasl. Did u happen to see my post on the ZEBRA MUSSELS to answer answer you post. There so thick its unbelievable. I do ALLOT of drift fishing and and at times they will turn a 8 inch shad into a 16" ball of zebra mussels. There is grass growing out to 12' of water at Fairfield and on the main lake in front of Gar Hill to 12'. Its growing in all of the coves now as well. Hasnt really cleared it up on the north end yet though. they dont seem to be to be past elly creek north yet. Starting to see some better bluegills though and I think that has to be because of the grass.

now i know who you are,as soon as you mentioned BRYAN then it came back
to me.BRYAN is a good cat man,he learned a lot from his dad,now that is
a man to watch out for when he wants to get serious.we were in connersville
2 weeks ago to visit the kids,we were supposed to go to barkley for a week
when we left there, but i got sick about 2 days before we were to go had to
call the place we always stay,they understood the problem and are going
to hold our deposit for us to use any time we can,they really did not have
to do that with such a short notice but thats the kind of folks they are.i was
sick enough that i left my new NITRO at my son in laws house up there,
you know how i was feeling to do that.i hate to hear about the lake getting
bad,but it aint dead by a long shot.gizz told me what the guys were doing
with us cats i hope they do well,also hope your wife has no problem with
the baby.last but not least those guys down in that other club,and you
know who i am refering to,always were a bunch of whiners.keep me posted
on how my boys are doing.keep in touch it was great to hear from you.give
them boys a big HOWDY for me.
