Im heading to beavers bend on broken bow lake this weekend and was wondering if my little 16 foot sprint bass boat was big enough for the lake. What Im asking is if the lake is like grand or more like Oologah lake.

Also I would like to do some jugging with my son how is the catfishing down there. If its a good jugging lake how deep should I set my jugs and where.

Any info would be appreciated thanks and good fishing.

    Your boat will be fine.

Broken Bow flooded numerous mountains and ridges. Some are now islands, but there's plenty of rocky shallows just waiting to bite ya. You really need to pay attention to what you're doing down there.

I used to fish it about once a year with some locals. While I'm sure there are some cats there, I never saw one caught, and don't remember seeing a single jug or trotline.

Surfacing sand bass can be really spectacular down there...give them a try.
