RAIN???? That's what they said. Funny it's been snowing off and on here and in the immediate area. Just talked to someone in Crossville TN headed this way and it's really pouring there. Looks like it's headed here. Hope they all stay warm and toasty. There didn't seem to be as many campers this year but then they have added more parking, so it's probably just the ones near the road have been left this time. This time of year, this town becomes a city of it's own and adds up to 250,000 people to a 40,000+ population within
both TN and VA. So that's a little much for us hometown folk sometimes, especially if there is an emergency during the race traffic times.
Anyway, WELCOME TO BRISTOL, TN/VA for the races! Enjoy and don't drink and drive! Also, remember just because you are high or drunk does not give you the right away on a 55 MPH 4 lane. Don't step out there!

I don't follow the races since Kulwicki died here. He was my man for racing. Just not right without him. Haven't watched a full race since then. I recorded the tragic Dale E. race for my son and saw bits and pcs. of that one. He don't follow them much anymore himself now.

I'm goin' with the #8 car. Jr. was doin' real well at the short tracks before he parted ways with Eury Jr. last year. Now that they are back together I'm pickin' Jr. to be the man at Bristol!

Well it started snowing again around 12:30 and the ground is 'pert near (lol) all white in the Bristol area. Started as ice balls, now it is a white fluffy snow. Doesn't appear to be staying on the asphalt yet but if the temps drop and it's still here, it will. This weekend will be a test of the true race fan. They may have to postpone until it warms up later next week.

The first snow melted and now it's snowing again. The mountain out the kitchen window is white and gorgeous.
