I brined a bunch of chunked mooney and froze em in the brine. As Catfish bait its been awsome for me. The salt firms em up and the blues are nuts about it. I wonder if the blues like the salt in it, cause when they hit it its like a train Wham!!!! Even had it out fish fresh cut and live bait. We pulled 6 on it tonight a 50, 42, 3 - 10s and a 1/2 dink. Had live perch out as a controle the perch wernt even touched.

Hey welder, could you share the brine recipe/formula,with some instructions??I know on shad if you "just freeze them" they will be very soft and mushy when thawed.Thanks.
