Do you guys fish the bridge piers in the channel of major rivers with strong current like the Missouri?

The MO is to swift I think. I stick to fishing slot dikes and the sand bars.
I dont like anchoring in hard current any how to much to go wrong to fast like a tree getten ya.

Not the best of ideas. I've done it on the MO, but also had a close enough call with a slipped anchor that I give them a pretty wide margin now. What I will still do is anchor a few hundred feet up and walk a bait down to the pier.

Kind of... But it's a little screwed up how you have to do it. There is a lot of trust involved on the one where I have done it. Have not done it in a few years if that tells you anything.
