Bear had a model Bruin, back in the day and I loved that thing. I learned to shoot with it and got pretty good with the darn thing. It had 44 inch limbs, which were great for a fingers shooter like myself. All the bows today seen to be short and thus set up for a release. I have heard that Oneida was a good fingers bow. What say you all?

I shoot a home made Hoyt. Made from a competition bow and hunting limbs. Ugly but shoots well.

Sorry, i didn't specify. I shoot a Mathews LX. I would love to have a switchback xt, but i doubt it could do much better.

What are you still doing with the training wheels?

    Recurve and longbow here.
Haven't picked up any training wheels in a couple of years now.

My first choice is an old English long bow I found at a garage sale about 20 years ago, my second choice is a Jennings W compound.

Luke Clayton here. I'm on the Mathews pro staff and have been for years. Mathews makes a very fine line of bows, of that there is no doubt. Through the years, I've enjoyed shooting and hunting with all of them but I am partial to the Drenalin. It's a real joy to shoot. But... the Switchback is awesom as well, as are all their other bows. I suggest folks give them all a try at their pro shop and decide which is best for their particular needs. Good shooting, hogs are in now here in texas but won't be long till deer season! luke

Will I just can't make myself sell it. Both my wife (tkeyhunter) and I hunt traditional by choice, I have for the last 15 years. She has never had training wheels and refuses to shoot one.
