I shot this one Satruday night right at dark, Both my and my dads flashlights died and we were in the dark. Ended up going out Sunday morning and found him laying with in 10 yds of where we had walked. The bad deal is when we found him we discovered the coyotes tore him up pretty bad. We ended up salvaging what we could and headed home. He appears to me to be an old deer and I don't think his antlers would have gotten any bigger. He is the Biggest bodied deer I have ever killed.

Nice one Matt. I would guess it to be a 4-4 1/2 year old deer. What do you think?

I was thinking 4 1/2-5 1/2. That is the main reason I shot him. I don't think he would have amounted to much more than what he is.

Good job! Great looking buck; sorry about the loss of the "hams". I agree; might need to do some varmint hunting! "Note to self": check batteries. (I know, it's one of the easiest things to forget; I've done it too.):embarassed:
    Good luck, & good hunting!:004:

That bites you lost the hind quarters, But good you did find him. If you would of called the conservation agent they would of issued you another tag.

It's hard to tell without seeing the back and belly, but I would guess it to be a 3 1/2 year old.

I Will tell you he had a sway back and not much for back teeth. He was definately older than 3 1/2.
