Bow fishing bows

    what are some good bow fishing bows for a beginner, i just wanna know price ranges and good quality bows, and reel companys

    If you can shoot traditional, Hoyt makes a recurve bowfishing combo. I don't believe it is too expensive. The bow is also camoflaged and could be used to bow hunt. If you already have a bow then I would suggest the bottle type fishing reel. It costs a little more but is a lot safer than the old type reels. Hope this helps

    You can find old recurve bows cheap in pawnshops,ebay and yard sales. As for a reel the ams retreiver is the best i've used in 15+ years of bowfishing,and they make spincast bowfishing reel, Make sure you use saftey slides one snap back can ruin your day(took a garpoon point to the chest and broke two ribs:that_hurt:)not tryng to scare ya just saying be safe. it's a great sport. good luck Chad
