Bought boat, need help with a problem.

    i bought a 14ft 1972 sea nymph by omc,fiberglass, problem is i have two motors, 15 and 6 hp's. the back where i mount motor is too thick for my motors to slide over and mount. is there a quick way to fix this? thanks for any feedback. i need it.

    Give me a year on those two motors and I'll see what I can come up with.


    The model number off each one will do.
    And look on the boat and see if some one has added another piece to the transom and look on the data plate on the boat and see if it tells the max h/p you can use.

    1965 mercury 6hp and 1951 evinrude 15hp. cant read max. hp tag on boat, it came with 40 hp johnson on boat it needs alot of work and dont run. the motors dont like much to slide over to fit. just thin alum. plate over transom, looks original. it's 2" thick, the plate and fiberglass transom together. thanks for helping, we'll figure out something.

    Where did you find those pictures? I have searched both the new and old sites for them, but I can't find any more info on that particular jackplate.
