bonus on the crapy jig

    went out crappie fishing this morning for a bit. caught a few plus some decent bass and this lil guy. http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii171/river_scum/IMG_0563.jpg
    he went 24" and ate a white curlytail jigged in a tree top on the channel edge. sorry about the pic i was alone and didnt check the photo before release.

    Hey Tim ,great fish ! I went fishing for some crappie sunday , caught a 18" channel cat , 12" largemouth , and a 16" white bass ! Love those bonus fish on a buggie whip crappie rod :big_smile:

    nice ... i bet he was fun to catch ... i wish we had enough down here to consider fishing for ... never caught one

    Me either! Catching one in Indiana is an accomplishment too!

    We had pike and musky here in PA and yet to catch one.

    thats a nice unexpected surprise thats awesome! i went below markland dam today and was throwing a sabiki up by the wall for some skips and was catching very few when a school of small 2-4 lb blues moved in and i caught about 8 of them. talk about a blast on an ultralight!
