Bonus Blue catfish

    I was flathead fishing and doing quite well I might add. Being that I got my personal best flathead (the one in my avatar), when low and behold look what slammed my rod. One of my top five best blues. I have always done well for big blues in the winter, but it was 100 degrees here today. Here is a pic of the blue. Vern

    I knew I should have gone last night! I was so hot when I got done working that I just couldn't drag myself to the river. Those are some nice fish Vern, I think I might make myself go tonight! Congrats on the PB!!

    Nice catch. 100degrees huh. I went out a couple of weeks ago in the triple digits, launched at noon and caught fish. The good thing was that fishing in that kinda weather, I didn't have to take any food, just throwed a couple of fish on the deck and in about 10 minutes I had fried fish to munch on!!!:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

    Them's some NICE fish for a beginner, Vern. Good job. I'd probably remember the hole they came from and maybe you could catch some REAL nice ones! Good luck findin' some trophies...LMAO.

    vern beat me to the hole lol thats the same hole iv been fishin for several weeks now glad my brother sponcers cpr now maybe i can get out there and catch my pb blue i think my pb flat was actualy bigger than his avatar mine was 40.5# i know my biggest blue was only 49# . it was so hot last nite that i was wet from head to toe before i threw the cast net oh and vern you owe me if it werent for me you would probly never fished that hole lol just kidin you bro verns fished all up and down that part of the river if there were bouys marking where hed fished you could probly walk around on the water lol , nice fish vern cograts on the pb flat

    Yeah, what a great night, even with the heat. That's a nice blue, Vern, and I know you loved bringing in that personal best flattie. As for catching those "big ones" Pat, I'm still looking forward to that!:wink:
