I was thinking, there is a lake close by where the Carp seem to stay suspendid. Have any of you fished Wheaties or other dough bait a couple feet below a Bobber??? and how well did it work?? Thanks Jeff :0a31:

I also fish a few spots where the carp like to suspend. I,ve found that when they,re suspending, they usually won,t hit a dough bait for me. I use a slip float and try to offer them something natural-a crawler or cricket works nice. You didn,t mention how deep the water was, I find it a lot easier to float a bait up off the bottom if the water isn,t too deep. I try and keep the presentation subtle, they can be awfully spooky when they,re suspending. I,d rather move and find some more active fish.
