So let me ask do you gys that have boats a question. Do you mount your rod holders directy on to your boat, or did most of you guys build a special rod holder holder, to mount your rod holders on..? I just built one, and i think it is going to work out good, cant wait to try it

I've got 4 inch sides on my boat. I mounted six mounts on each side. Then I can put the rod holders in any combination I need at the moment. Most of the folks I know who made their own, mount them on the aft in a row. Is that what you did?

Yeah i mounted 2 steel threaded rods on each side of the boat, then just ran a 2x4 from each rod, then put a T bar brace in the middle, and mounted 6 quickset rod holders across the back..If you go to the BOC library, i set mine up exactly like RiverratSC has his, except i didnt use any PCV piping
