i have never registered a boat in IL. befor how do i go about it in NC. we dident have titles for boat & motor just trailer ...

Nothing required for motor. Read carefully about sales tax ( 6.25%) required to be paid before your application will be processed.

Ask around and find a Title Service in your area. It is like a one stop shop to get everything done. You may need to bring a couple of checks for different state agencies.
