My cousins and me were out at the farm and were going to throw some jugs out that night. And we brought a ten ft. aluminum flat bottom to help us a little... And as the evening was getting closer and closer to night, one of them pulled out a paint marker and asked what we should call it. The other one, excelling in unoriginality, said "The Titanic." I rolled my eyes and continued to unwrap jugs when the one with the marker said, "How's it look?" I turn my head and busted up laughing, 'cause all the farther he got with that neon paint, was the second 't' on titanic. And ever since that spring evening, that boat has been dubbed, "THE TIT"...

I was at Key Largo Fla in 1987 and I was at a boatyard when this guy drove up towing a nice boat.I walked over to look at the boat and it had Sweet N Low on the side so I ask him wasn't the man that owned sweet n low gonna be mad at him for using that name for his boat and he said " I don't mind at all".The guy owned Sweet N Low and that sure made me look foolish.

I have three boats. The smallest, a 14' flat bottom was named by the local Game warden one night while fishing a feeder creek on Toledo Bend. When he came up on us to check us, the second time that night, he proclaimed "it is the SS Minnow again" so the name stuck. I do not know where and why he came up with that name. We get checked but the game wardens so much fishing the river here I was thinking about calling one of my other boats ( Oh Sh_t here come the game warden)

My uncle had a 14ft pontoon that he took out every week for a three day trip. He called it "Lonely & Gone" said it was because when he left, my aunt was lonely and he was gone. Made sense to me:smile2:
