My father passed away about a year ago and I have been going through his belongings with my mom. She has given my some old boat motors that I am interested in trying to get running. There is a little of everything I am not sure what to do. Is there a book I can get. I would also like to know if they are worth fixing. They seem to be in pretty good shape and are from the 1960's. I just don't know if they will be valuable enough to put the money into them to get them to run. If they don't have the value I do not want to put the money into them. Can anyone tell me a book to get.

Ruth,
I really doubt that they will be worth fixing up,so the next time you guys are up this way just bring them on up with you and I'll take care of them for you.LOL

There are books produced for such a thing but from what I have seen they cost in the acess of over 200 bucks
If you will make a list of each motor with the brand amd serial and model number and post them I'll tell you if they have any collectors value or not.
I haven't seen many out of the sixties era that were collectors.
You could always put the parts on ebay and people restoring them will buy parts.
