Trading the bite for a boat is a wise choice:big_smile::wink:

If he decides he wants a lake boat let me know.I'm getting mine ready to sale.Hope to have it posted this week.

Just under $8000 is what I bought a brand new 2004 Lowe 1860 Roughneck and 50 horse Mercury from Cabelas five years ago. Don't know if he's looking new or used, but that boat was great. I had tiller steering, so that gave me all the space you could ask for. I even added two platforms on the inside gunwales and had room for 6 snaggers during spoonbill season, without crowding too bad. There are a lot of super deals at that price range, this is just my opinion of one that I had the pleasure of owning.

he sold the bike last week. he's a river guy (go figger huh :smile2: ) he aint rode it in years. mom's is for sale too. he's a fat guy so im thinkin a bigger jon if possible for the money. an 18 or so with a 25-30 horse should work good i think.

Not to comment on the "fat guy" part or nothing, but with that 1860 two of us could stand on the edge and pull up a 70# spoonbill with no worries at all. I can't even stand and pee off the back corner of my Tracker now without nearly getting my feet wet!

the tag on his bike was FBOY then his number. there was a group of 5 of em that was called the "fat boys" i think i can get him to name the boat Fat Boy or T-Town Fat Boy that was his CB handle back in the day

    JJ,

I bought my engine from these guys http://www.eberlinboats.com/

They have a great selection of cat boats, and set them up right.

It's a little bit of a jog over there, but I would buy from them again.
