Family picked up a bowrider today as a “fun” boat as compared to my fishing pontoon. It has the brass screw in type of drain plug. I’m a big believer in keeping a spare or two on the boat. If I can’t find the screw in type locally, will the rubber compression type seal off this type of drain plug?
It's a pipe thread plug, while brass isn't carried at almost all hardware stores, steel & galvanized plugs are. Wouldn't want to leave either installed over an extended period of time but would get you by as a spare for a day if you misplaced the brass one.
