I am thinking about getting a canoe. I am reading the registration part in the regs book and I think I am reading it correctly but just want to verify. "All watercraft are required to be titled except documented vessels, windsurfers
and those propelled by human power with oars, paddles or similar devices."

So the way I read it is that a canoe would not need to be registared since it is powered by human power with oars. Also if anyone sees any used canoes for sale within an hour of Sumter please let me know. I am looking in the $300-400 range max.

Try your local Walmart store. 15 foot Coleman canoes, new, for less than what you're wanting to pay for a used one...paddles included.

As long as you don't put a trolling motor on it you don't have to title it.
