Bluegill Lures

    whats a good bluegill lures, i can catch em all day long on meat, or hotdogs or bacon, but whats a good lure? mabe a grass hopper?

    try some jigs or a rapla oringnal in the littlest size or try some fly lures on a fly rod all of them kill those bluegill for me i hope thios helps oh by the way a storm cricket hopper or a rable cricek ant and fly are also good

    The small rooster tails.I use the white ones and the bluegills around here will hit it one after the other.

    Whenever I use a curly-tail grub I can't keep them off the line. There is just something about that tail swimming back and forth that they can't resist. I haven't found a bad color yet, but white seems to do a little better than the rest. I like the 1" or 1 1/2" on the smallest jig head that will fit it. My favorite is a red jighead. You never know what is going to bite that either. I've caught a big mess of bluegills, bass, and crappie all in one trip with the same lure. Good luck!
