Anyone know of a good place I can catch eating size bluegills in the St. Louis area? I have an older man that I work with thats been trying to get me to take him Bluegill fishing. I told him in the spring I'd take him Crappie fishing, but he's itchin for some gills.

You've got a hundred creeks around Jefferson County, Joachim in Herculeaum, Byrnes Mill, Desoto etc. A bunch of small tributaries feeding into the mississippi. Blugill, goggle eye, warmouth, etc. Best of luck to you.

I have caught some real good size bluegill from the banks in oxbows of the mississipi using regular old earthworms.
