I've been a longhorn fan all my life. My daughter went to A and M and now she is marrying an Aggie. I need to take him fishing for blues near Bryan.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
I would also like to learn to Aggie fishing jokes.

I'm not a big bluecat fisherman, but I occasionally catch a few in the brazos river. I hear if you go to Gibbons Creek Resivoir you can find the blues around trees with birds in them. Hope this helps

I think your best bet for blues will be either Limestone or Conroe.

Jay , I've hit two spots over the last couple of day and had good luck on blues and channels each time.. don't know where in bryan you located but here two spots if you goggle them you'll see them..

takes FM 1687 to 50 north to Mumford. about 10 miles up look for Muse Rd. make a left. that RD will run aside the Brazos about 5 miles down. you will see where people park. had a great time last Sat.night.

take hwy 6 to calvert..look for FM979 head west Cameron Exit. once you cross the train track the Brazos will be a couple of miles down..once you cross the bridge , look to your left you can drive under the bridge. you can drive up stream of fish under the bridge.. left today with 3 blues 3- 8lbs and a couple of keepers on channels..

Try conrow or somervill. Somervill is close to collage station
