blue gill

    when using blue gill, how do you want to hook them where they stay alive? and what kind of hook?
    Does this pic at the bottom look right?

    I normally hook them just under the back fin and use a slip sinker above the swivel on about 24inch leader just below the swivel.

    Same here but I also cut the dorsal fin off to make them swim erratically.

    Hook them right behind the dorsal fin.

    I either go behind the dorsal fin or through the nostrils.(if thats what it is).
    6-10/0 non circle octopus hooks.:wink:
