I stocked some fingerling Blue cats into my pond last spring and within a few days they were all up eating pellets.
Most fish when stocked are not fed for 36 hrs before they are stocked so they do not crap in the water durring transport which also creates lots of ammonia which can kill fish, when they are hungry, they are calmer and travel better. With that said, once fish hit the water and are acclimatized to the temps, should start biting within a few hours if the travel and stocking stress wasnt too high.
