Blue catfish in lakes

    im getting ready to fish a lake for big blues its a cooling lake, i have no boat im wondering were i cat cast to find the big blues in the lake should i fish the intake or find the deepest part and wing it towar the middle of the lake

    if their pulling a lot of water the intake should hold fish.if intake channel is a natural part of the lake i would start deep and work my way shallow.if its been dug out it should have a constant depth so i would put out lines from the bank to mid channel.use large hooks and baits to keep small channel cats from steeling your bait.

    the intake is only as wide as a creek will that still hold big fish

    depends on depth and temp.of intake.if theres fish in the lake there should be some in the intake to.
