A buddy of mine works in a feed mill and was asking if I wanted a bag of blood meal to use as chum. Has anybody tried this before? Its made up of animal blood and made into a powder. Its supposed to be used as a feed additive for animals to promote growth because if its high amount of protein.

I've heard of using blood meal as an ingredient for homemade punch bait and doughballs, but never for chum. I would think it would disperse rather quickly.

Yeah I was thinking of putting 20lbs in a burlap sack and dumping 20lbs in the water and seeing how it does. I might get a bag of it and trying it out in the future.
