I KILLED A BLACK DUCK MALLARD HYBRID BUT IT IS A LITTLE SHOT UP, BLACKDUCKS ARE REAL RARE AROUND ME AND GETTING A HYBRID I THINK IS EVEN MORE RARE. BUT SHOULD I FORK OUT THE MONEY TO JUST GET BACK AN "OK" MOUNT?

Blacks are true trophies. As far as putting it on the wall, I would take it to a good taxidermist and see what he says. From the picture, it don't look to shot up, but I can't see the wings. If anything, you could get a standing mount. Congrats on the bull black.

thanks for the feedback the belly is shot up the most and im going to a taxidermist this sat. he said he can hide most of the problems by having its belly flat to the wall.

Blacks make beautiful mounts. Glad to hear the taxidermist can hid the messed up part. I've only killed two in 17 years of hunting. Killed one two years ago and killed another this year.

Blacks are quite common around here, we also kill quite a few mallard-black mixed. I do love them, mallards and blacks are my favorite to hunt.

I think that it would make a fine mount. I don't think that it is that tore up
