I think the Black River starts up around Bishopville,SC...and ends at Georgetown.

The Black is actually formed in the Olanta-Timmonsiville area I believe it is formed by 5 small feeder creeks that run together in the area but as it goes further south it turns into a BIG river until its confluence into the lower big pee dee river around the winyah bay in georgetown. Blackwatercatz could probably fill you in better about the fishing but I think is an average river with some small to medium sized blues and channells and not many flatheads. I no it is a very deep river in the parts I been through.
