The fish commission lists the biggest catches of the year but I don`t see any listed for their length only they are all listed by weight. I usually measure length & girth, take a pic and apply for a catch and release angler award.They should have a biggest fish category by length for guys who do it like that.

i think they do it that way cause if 2 people catch the same length of fish .. 1 has to be bigger lol im not sure exactly but my guess is their is less dispute that way...on a scale

If they did it length + girth in cases of fish the same length catch and release fisherman could be accomidated.

Us CPR fisherman will need to rely on our own recordings to have any type of bragging rights, which is just fine with me. A photo speaks for itself and I am not interested in the hype outside the catfish communtiy.

Fish records always go by weight instead of length, but length should be a secondary measurement.
